Agilepm Project Management Basics

In its most basic sense, project management involves the planning, implementing, and closing phases of a project in an organized and planned way.  All those efforts are aimed at a defined result that is the delivery of the task, the product to be delivered, and its successful realization.  The term project management is most often used to describe the more difficult but necessary project planning and implementing quality methodologies.  It is a widely used technique in many types of industries.  Project management techniques are broadly divided into project planning, implementation, control, and budgeting, among others. The planning stage is the crucial part of any project and needs to be given careful attention.

Planning is the most obvious case as it involves establishing objectives, establishing the limits of capabilities, and determining the methods of approaching the problem.  These are the project parameters in which the project is to be managed.  Depending on the situation and type of work involved, the project planning phase can be applied to deliver or implement activities, activities in specialized fields, critical processes, or activities requiring to be performed at certain points in the project delivery sequence.

One of the most critical aspects is planning for the scope.  The scope is the basis upon which the work will be supervised.

Before the project planning stage, the decision-maker should make her resources available to idea how the tasks, milestones, and deliverables can fit together.  As a result of that planning, the information will be available to decide on the right set of deliverable tasks at the right time, by the right group time.  Planning not only stores the baseline of tasks, as in project delivery planning, it also stores the set of resources and their estimates.  It acts as a critical summary of methodologies that can be applied if these resources are not available to manage a particular date or time.

Easier to maintain a team, this type of planning allows to identify the task to supervise and runs the pre-planning.  If the team will not be available, the project manager can easily assign others to act as resource persons.  Members can be given by the team manager or others interested in the work, so they may be available to supervise the work or workgroup as the need demands.  The cohesion of the team allows the work to be performed without any confusion or conflict.  The risk factor in any kind of work and project planning is part of the business objectives and those doing the work should know what constitutes a good result and they need to know when to accept be it good or bad.

The planning phase enables the scope of the work to be determined.  It acknowledges the results desired and the type of resource available.

The planning unites the team with the project’s specific tasks is at work.  The planning provides the team with the information they need to measure the parameters of the work.  It provides a vision, through the decision-making process, of what the end results should be.  It also identifies the limits of the resources.  Moreover, being interdependent tasks, it provides the team with a measure of control over these limits.  Just like a master plan to build a house allows all the components to flow smoothly, completing the work process provides a precise estimate of the time, cost, and activity of all the resources.

The purpose of planning is to generate a project rate for any specific period of the project.  These use formal time, cost, and activities equivalents.   Planning the work is about establishing a schedule, budget, and schedule of the resources.  The level of control over resources becomes more established with a plan that is prepared well.  The processing of the work starts with gaining financial approval.


The execution phase describes the most vital activities and steps involved in the project.


The scope is established, the task is chosen, resources are committed, and other required features are described.  The execution phase includes the formal change requests, workflow, and approval and changes.  approved set of tasks.

Each project lacks specific activities that will determine if it meets even the minimum requirements for the purpose of progress.  A problem is about incomplete or inadequate information in defining these tasks.  However, no matter how long the most basic project planning and execution sequence, all projects do not meet their completion date.  When an approved set of tasks is achieved with work that meets all the project requirements, the project is in execution.
